Obama sycophants Orrin Hatch (R-UT), Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Paul Ryan (R-WI) introduced on April 16 "The Bipartisan Congressional Trade Priorities and Accountability Act of 2015" (TPA-2015) S. 995/H.R. 1890.

This legislation would put Obama on the notorious, unconstitutional 'Fast Track' to negotiate international trade WITHOUT Congressional advice and consent, and force America into the 'NAFTA on steroids' Trans Pacific Partnership.

Remember, this 'treaty' is so bad for the American worker that they still won't tell us everything that's in it…

Along with the impending visit by Japan Foreign Minister Abe, the only other significant detail impeding Obama's clear path to negotiating "his way" (because he's so good at it!) this largest-ever trade treaty is getting Congress to hand over "Fast Track" Trade Promotion Authority (TPA). Fast Track is fraught with danger and meeting resistance from some Congressional Members, as it would curtail any effective oversight or dissention from the House or Senate until it's TOO LATE for lawmakers to change Obama's "deal"!

But given recent history, why would anyone think Obama could or should be trusted with such unchecked authority representing America's interests? Current U.S. economic numbers reveal the number of jobless Americans is flat-lining – as the number of new jobs remains low, and what jobs are available are being filled by work-for-cheap, illegal immigrants! American workers already have been battered by the Obama economy for too long, yet the Republican Establishment continues to help their big corporate donors to turn short-term profits by HURTING OUR BOTTOM LINE and KILLING MORE AMERICAN JOBS.

As a matter of fact, the legal newswire Law360 reports Obama on Good Friday gave kudos to quisling Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch, (R-UT) for his hard work introducing legislation to help put Obama on a Fast Track for the TPP treaty and other international trade deals. Obama called the bill a critical component of the White House economic agenda.

According to a Public Citizen report reviewing the 20 year history of such globalist corporate trade agreements:

• Trade deficits have EXPLODED by more than 440 percent; the U.S. goods trade deficit has more than quadrupled, from $216 BILLION o $870 BILLION.
• Good, middle class American jobs were DESTROYED as nearly 5 million – one in four – of our manufacturing jobs were killed by Fast Tracking NAFTA.
• U.S. wages have stagnated and income inequality has increased – wage growth is barely a blip in real terms since 1974, the year Fast Track was first enacted yet since which American worker productivity has doubled.
• U.S. food exports have stagnated while food imports have doubled.

NOTHING about TPP is as advertised. Of TPP's 29 chapters, a mere 5 have to do with trade! The others are all about fundamentally transforming our sovereign U.S. laws for international compliance according to a foreign trade entity that does NOT answer to the U.S. Congress!

On the fundamental transformation takeover list: regulation of our Internet freedom, health care, stock market, copyright and patenting, food safety, environmental standards, civil liberties.

If not stopped, Obama's "Fast Track" treaty will BAN "BUY AMERICAN" LAWS while forcing even more of our manufacturing jobs overseas.

Again, Congress is being CUT OUT of the whole negotiation process, and once Obama is done Congress will have NONE of its OVERSIGHT power as stipulated by the U.S. Constitution. Instead the likes of Mexico, Canada, Japan, Australia, Brunei, Chile, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam – with the Philippines, Thailand and Columbia to join later! – will TAKE OVER in the traduced name of "free trade"!

This "trade agreement" contains a slew of domestic interference provisions that Obama knows he will NEVER be able to get through Congress. That's why he's attempting to take full advantage of what he HOPES is still a deaf, dumb and blind Congress to win another ObamaCare style "You-have-to-pass-it-before-you-know-what's-in-it" victory for anti-sovereignty, anti-free market, one-world globalism!

To this date, Congress STILL does not even have access to the entire drafts of the TPP "treaty" – and the scraps that they are able to review can only be viewed UNDER SUPERVISION.

Wikileaks – in this instance an ally (however unintentional) to concerned conservatives – has exposed that only three individuals in each TPP nation have FULL ACCESS to the agreement while 600 "trade advisors" or BIG lobbyists from the likes of Chevron, Halliburton, Monsanto and Walmart have privileged access.

NEVER MIND that the United States Constitution's Commerce Clause specifies this enumerated power in Article I, Section 8, Clause 3. The clause states that the United States Congress – NOT THE EXECUTIVE – shall have power "To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations…"

Unfortunately for Obama, Congress STILL has the upper hand.

As much as he likes to just IGNORE the Constitution, Obama has no choice but to rely on Congress to grant him the TPA, "Trade Promotion Authority" to "fast track" or expedite trade agreements as he sees fit. Such authority would allow Obama to SIGN this so–called treaty before Congress even votes on it! But Congressional authority is clear – they HAVE to grant TPA to Obama for him to act…

It is WRONG to give the president carte blanche to "diplomatically legislate." If only a couple dozen more lawmakers join the emerging coalition of Democrats and Republicans already showing resistance, the House could have enough votes to shoot down "Fast Track" and derail the TPP. Because if Obama doesn't get the special trade powers, Congress will likely exercise proper oversight and attempt to make changes to the final pact in America's interest, which could cause other countries to drop out of the "agreement."

The facts are on our side that Congress NEEDS to fight:

• Since 2001, America has lost more than 56,000 manufacturing facilities

• In 1993 before NAFTA was pushed through Congress, we had a $1.6 billion trade surplus with Mexico; by 2010, we had a $61.6 billion trade deficit with our southern neighbor. Our trade deficit with China meanwhile exploded from $6 MILLION in 1985 to $315 BILLION by 2012.

• The Economic Policy Institute estimates we lose 500,000 jobs to China each year.

• Princeton University Professor Alan Blinder estimated current trends could cost 40 million MORE – mostly MIDDLE CLASS – American jobs to be outsourced overseas over the next two decades.

And this is a mere SAMPLING of just how much worse Obama's "NAFTA of the Pacific" will make job prospects for ourselves, our kids and our grandkids…
