MAKE NO MISTAKE: Benghazi IS Barack Obama's very own Watergate of corruption, except worse because Obama lied, Americans died and Obama lied – more. The lies are deep and vast – about what really happened and why in Benghazi, and about Obama's and Hillary Clinton's direct, venal roles in making fatal decisions to win an election instead of fulfill their oaths of office.

The "smoking gun" email from then-top Obama aide Ben Rhodes reveals RHODES – an Obama-insider appointee at the highest levels – coaching then-U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice (since promoted to National Security Advisor) to falsely portray during a Sunday media blitz the Benghazi terror attack as the result of an anti-Muslim YouTube video rather than Obama's failed foreign policy.

With Watergate, we also had a "smoking gun." It was a previously unknown audio tape from June 23, 1972, recorded only days after Republican President Richard Nixon's re-election hacks broke into the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the

Watergate office complex in Washington, D.C., on June 17, 1972.

"…the Democratic break-in thing, we're back to the – in the, the problem area because the FBI is not under control, because Gray doesn't exactly know how to control them, and they have… their investigation is now leading into some productive areas […] and it goes in some directions we don't want it to go."

…Very like how this administration went with a YouTube story (first concocted by who we still don't know!) to blame away Obama's FATAL foreign policy failures?

Because the "spontaneous demonstration gone bad" YouTube pretext helped lend credence to the pathetic excuse that" we had no intel; we weren't prepared to respond" that covered up this administration's WILLFUL failure to even TRY to use military force to save the lives of Amb. Chris Stevens, former Navy SEALs Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods and State Department IT Manager Sean Smith.

Reid's announcement of NO SENATE SELECT COMMITTEE came after Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) told the Washington Examiner that he was going to ask for one.

"I'm going to ask our Democratic colleagues, and I'm working on a letter now to have a Select Committee in the Senate," Graham said. "Let's look at it anew, look at every agency with one set of eyes. A new set of eyes."

Reid says a Select Committee in the Senate is unnecessary…

"Keep in mind, there is no conspiracy here," Reid said.

His proof: an internal investigation by the State Department that FAILED to interview then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (and a slew of others) and instead simply produced (1-2-3 Hesto-Presto!) "recommendations" for the future.

We say SHOW US THE PROOF! The Left and its media lapdogs are so determined to paint the Select Committee as a fringy rightwing witch hunt you would think they would be GLEEFULLY helping to set one up just to watch the egg hit our faces. But they are not … which makes us ask, what are they (er, Obama) afraid a strong Joint Select Committee will uncover?

According to the Examiner, if Reid refuses to create a select panel in the Senate, Graham says he will tell Harry Reid he doesn't agree with the decision…

Oh boy.

"And that must mean you believe we know everything there is to know about Benghazi and you are completely trusting in the administration," Graham said. "I can say neither."

'TELLING' OR NICELY 'ASKING' HARRY REID FOR JUSTICE FOR FOUR SLAIN AMERICANS JUST DOESN'T CUT IT!

History may have mixed reviews about the partisanship and integrity of the Nixon impeachment Congress, but there is no question that the shocked and embattled Republican Party rose above partisanship and met its responsibilities to our republic with great fealty to the Constitution.

AND WE KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TOUGH TALK AND TOUGH ACTION…

Right now, Graham is blowing smoke for his reelection – while his buddy Mitch McConnell is busy beating up Tea Party candidates and trying to bury THEM in lies. Reid must be given NO CHOICE but to commission a Senate Select Committee to investigate Benghazi and so-called GOP leadership needs to LEAD to get this DONE.

"It would make sense if it were bicameral," said Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-GA) in an interview with The Hill.

"I would like to see that, with the ability to get information out of the State Department. That's where the fault lies all the way to the top," he said.

Chambliss calls a bicameral select committee NECESSARY because it will allow congressional investigators to subpoena members of the State Department – something that the other previous investigation efforts lacked the power to do.

"We were frustrated in our investigation by the lack of ability to subpoena witnesses and, particularly, subpoena documents from the State Department," he said. "The State Department was not complicit in our investigation. They stonewalled us time and time again."

If we don't ratchet up the pressure on the Senate – particularly on Reid's vulnerable Democrats facing 2014 and 2016 elections – there will ALWAYS be a stone wall. Our men who died in Benghazi and their families will never have justice. Americans will never have accountability from this administration, and we still have two years to go… and the specter of a Hillary presidency thereafter – UNLESS we get the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth in front of the American people NOW!

Watergate – a major political scandal resulting from the 1972 "dirty tricks" campaign break-in and subsequent cover up of Nixon administration involvement – led to the discovery of even MORE abuses of power throughout the Executive Branch where Nixon and his top aides ordered FBI, CIA and even IRS harassment of opposition groups and political figures.

The Watergate scandal and investigation was about to result in certain IMPEACHMENT of Nixon, and lead to his resignation – the only resignation of a U.S. president to date in the history of the United States.

It also resulted in the indictment, trial, conviction and incarceration of dozens of Nixon's top administration officials – a whopping 43 people.

Then again, we still had real investigative journalists in the 1970s and a mainstream media committed to reporting news and informing the American people instead of functioning as a propaganda arm of the DNC or a claque for their chosen leader. This "fourth estate" actually put PRESSURE ON CONGRESS to remain accountable to the American electorate.

We had a citizenry vested in the TRUTH and concerned for INTEGRITY in government – an estimated 85% of American households tuned their televisions into the Watergate trials at some point.

Today, we can only rely on ourselves taking responsibility and action – and demanding that Congress do so as well.
